It is with great pride and honor we announce the acceptance of a Laker Athlete to a prestigious ski academy, Burke Mountain Academy (East Burke, VT USA)!
Ty Carpenter (2010)

Burke Mountain Academy is an elite-level ski academy that provides passionate ski racers the opportunity to pursue their limitless academic and athletic potential. Ty has been identified as top 2010 YOB alpine talent nationwide and been invited to join Burke academy in their early-acceptance process, a remarkable achievement!

Bruke is a well-respected ski academy throughout the world that has a relationship with the U.S. Ski Team and has notable alumni like Mikeala Shiffrin along with 36 Olympians and 118 other US Ski Team members to date.

Competing in SL, PSL, GS, SG, throughout the 2023-2024 season. Ty showed confidence, skill and execution throughout his events and training. This added to his experience, dedication, passion, and race results which qualified him to be accepted to Burke.

The Lakers coaching staff, Board of Directors and entire Lakers family and alumni network, congratulate Ty and his family on this accomplishment and wish them all the best!

The Lakers Alpine Race Team is very proud of Ty’s well-deserved accomplishment. We look forward to following where his dream takes him and appreciate the years of Lakers values, he exemplified in his memorable time with the Lakers! Congratulations Ty!
